To mark World No Tobacco Day, a special morning assembly was conducted at our school on May 31, 2025, with the aim of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and encouraging students to lead a tobacco-free life.
The program began with the morning prayer. The Thought of the Day, presented by a Class X student, emphasized the value of health and the dangers associated with tobacco consumption.
A powerful speech was then delivered by a student of Class X, highlighting the severe health risks posed by tobacco, including cancer, lung diseases, and heart problems. The speech also emphasized the importance of saying no to peer pressure and making healthy life choices.
Our respected Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Lobo S.J., addressed the gathering and appreciated the students' enthusiasm in supporting this cause. He spoke about the importance of awareness and how young people can play a major role in promoting a tobacco-free society.
As part of the program, the school also announced various competitions such as poster making, and drawing competition all based on the theme "Exposing lies protecting lives." Students were encouraged to participate and express their views creatively.
The program was a great success and served as a meaningful reminder to all students about the importance of health, awareness, and responsible decision-making.
